This lovely vintage bag by Forsum, made in Hong Kong, has been woven in strong beige and black vinyl wicker in a lovely design of parallel diagonal lines.
The sturdy handles are covered in a strong black leather and attach to the top of the bag with two pairs of white golden metal thimbled hinges. It closes securely on top with a golden metal buckle over a set clasp.
The inside has plenty of room and is split into two compartments by a large zipped pocket that runs the full length of the centre.
It also has a large open pocket on one side. The lining is made of a hard-wearing black vinyl (easy to keep clean) which is offset wonderfully by the crimson red lining of the open pocket. The bag has four golden metal protector studs on the base.
Bag is in excellent condition considering it's almost 70 years old. Its simple design of beige and black diagonal stripes is very striking; it's extremely sturdy and secure and is very functional.
Body of the bag measures: L: 8.8” x H: 6" x W: 4.4”. The carry handles rise to 4.5" above the top.
