Lovely vintage bag that has been woven in white wicker with a beautifully embroidered tapestry front and contrasting gold metal handles and clasp. Handles are sturdy and made from a hard-wearing golden metal.
The inside is fully lined with a white and gold patterned cloth material which is in great condition. It has a large compartment with plenty of room and it has two pockets, the larger of which closes with a zip. There are a couple of tiny scuff marks along the top edge from age but very minor and nothing to detract from this stunning rare bag. The bag closes with a metal clasp on the top.
The front embroidery is a stunning design with green, red, pink, blue and gold coloured tapestry interspersed with red, green and blue crystals that really sparkle. It is enhanced further by a beautiful pearl-white tapestry border.
Bag is in excellent condition considering it is over 60 years old.
Body of the bag measures 12.25” x 8” x 5" (excluding the 4.25" high handles).
